Element: Fire (Poem)

Hello, all!

With May in full swing, I thought that I would dedicate this month of Poetry Wednesdays to the four elements: fire, water, air, and earth. I find them fascinating, and would like to pay some homage to their characters.

That being said, I dedicate this week’s “elemental poem” to fire. I took a draft of it from my Twitter post and expanded on it.

Keep a look-out for the next Elemental poems in the following weeks; enjoy! 🙂

Fire

Fire, it burns down

the wicker of your back, consuming

each nerve of your skin.

Hot, its breath on your face

wishing smoke, ashes from the tiger’s

eyes, burning bright, high on

light dancing, dancing down

to the last kindle.
