Woman Crush Saturday: Swedish Actresses

Again, it has been a while since I have posted “Woman Crush fill-in-the-blank-here,” but it’s back! 🙂

This month’s will be a tad different, for it is featuring not one, not two, but FIVE crush-worthy actresses! Wow, what a treat, huh? 😉

In particular, I am talking about Swedish actresses. Why Swedish, you might ask? I suppose that it is because the recent films that I have been watching have featured a lead actress who hails from the iconic Scandinavian country.

Granted, not all of them are the “typical” blond-hair, blue-eyed vixens, but still, they are very attractive (emphasis on “very”). They just have that lithe, European class to them; plus their accents- predominantly British English with the hint of a Swedish lilt- just make me melt. *swoon*

Without further ado, my list of crush-worthy Swedish actresses. Enjoy!

#1 Ingrid Bergman. Saw her in Casablanca, and wow! She is the epitome of the classic, 1940’s Hollywood cinema- and she’s not even American! Her role as Ilsa Lund in the film, opposite Humphrey Bogart’s Rick Blaine, was definitely enigmatic- quiet, but strong. Rest in peace, my classy goddess. ❤

#2 Ruth Vega Fernandez. Although she was born in the Canary Islands and is of Spanish descent, this dark-haired beauty blew me away in her film Kiss Me, playing a woman (Mia) with such gravitas and a brooding, mysterious air to her personality. And her husky voice gets me every time…

#3 Liv Mjönes. This blond-haired, blue-eyed beauty also captured my heart, opposite Ruth Vega Fernandez in Kiss Me. Her chemistry with Fernandez was absolutely beautiful; just by using her large, curious eyes, she breathes life into her character, Frida, in a sweet and tender performance.

#4 Rebecca Ferguson. Not to be confused with the British singer of the same name, this Swedish beauty has graced the entertainment world with her breakthrough roles in The White Queen and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. Her gentle English accent is also incredibly lovely: seriously, I could listen to it all day. *ahhh…*

#5 Alicia Vikander. A relatively new face to mainstream Hollywood, Vikander is a waif-like angel with puppy-dog eyes that just make her, well, adorable. Despite her porcelain looks, though, she can hold her ground very well, starring in strong roles in Ex Machina and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Give these lovely ladies from Sweden lots of love, will you? ❤ Take care!
